If a child becomes ill at the center, parents will be contacted immediately for pick-up. The child will be cared for in a quiet area until the parent arrives. Staff will not administer medication unless it's specified in the child’s medical file.
Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours or have a doctor’s note before returning. For communicable diseases, a doctor’s note is required confirming the child is no longer contagious and can participate fully.
Children showing symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, cold, or pink eye must stay home for at least 24 hours after symptoms subside. For more serious illnesses (e.g., measles, chickenpox, flu, vomiting, diarrhea, lice, scabies, etc.), the child must be symptom-free for 48 hours.
The center increases sanitization in case of illness to ensure a safe environment for all. Thank you for helping protect the health of students, staff, and families.

At MyForest, we follow age-appropriate staffing ratios to ensure the safety, supervision, and developmental support of each child.
For children aged 10 to 36 months, the recommended staff-to-child ratio is typically:
1 educator for every 4 children (1:4 ratio)
This means one qualified caregiver is responsible for no more than four toddlers at a time. This ratio supports close supervision, responsive caregiving, and individualized attention—critical during this important stage of development when children are learning to walk, talk, explore, and self-regulate.
We maintain or exceed these standards to ensure a high-quality, nurturing environment for all children in our care.
